this is a trace monotype with pastels. I prefer pastels over watercolour because they are more opaque i can minimize the dark spots that can occur when doing a "trace" monotype.

This is the best picture I could get but it doesn't show how vibrant the colors really are but it is close
but that is why I used the tissue paper even though its a pain to treat it with the "make it acid free" spray I just love the way tissue paper looks. I am also planning to spray it with a varnish that has uv protection in it. This tissue paper claims to be reasonably lightfast and so far my north facing window test is suggesting that it is but a little extra protection cant hurt right?
